The Legend of Charlemagne is an imaginative short story penned by the 16th Mayor of St. Charles, CV Amenhoff which gave personification and background to the four prideful bronze fox statues situated on the Main Street bridge.

Adopt an Artifact! is a unique program offered by the St. Charles History Museum that allows people to “adopt” various artifacts from the Museum’s Collection. Artifacts may be adopted for up to a year and can be renewed.
